How to use my win xp fax service?
I have phone line, PC with Windows XP, scanner and printer connected to USB port. I able to send / receive fax messages using installations? if not what is most hardware / software required to use the fax service from my computer.
Once you have installed the service (in Add / Remove Programs> Add / Remove Windows Components) … all you really need is a telephone line connected (disable any internet connection otherwise) and open the document you want to fax (only basic WordPad document, for example) and go to File> Print — when the Print dialog box appears, select the fax icon instead of the default printer. A wizard will then FAX to guide you through the process. If you have problems you may have to go to Control Panel> Printers and Other Hardware> "View installed printers" to establish that a bit. (If I remember correctly, I used to try first, but you only have to re-do it through the Fax Wizard that I mentioned earlier. — In fact, I used a twice. If you have a fax modem capable (which is very likely to do) it should work. When the fax is sent (and received at the other end) will successfully a message that _.
