Visual Basic function printer issue.?
I am quite familiar with the operation of the printer in Visual Basic, but every time I send a line of text to the printer in my role, it also affects the left side. I know a way I can do to manipulate text to force wrap text while short words, but is there any way to wrap without having to set the size or font of the text? I need to adjust the text as you would on the Bloc notes. Thank you. 10 points to the first answer that works!
I do not understand the question .. especially the part on the left to shed. But here are some Tips: The SPC (n) function and TAB (n) function is useful spacing functions. The first moves the text n spaces to the right and the second moves n tabs to the right. As for the line break thing … It should be automatically handled by the Windows printer object a VB has passed it to the tail of Printer.Print. So you could have a driver problem or something. To programmatically control, I would find the number of characters that are normally full line in the printer. Suppose now 80. Take the string and read the first 80 characters. Now read from the right end of the rope 80 to reach space. Say it was a 76 character space. So sending the first 75 characters of the string to his statement PrintLine and start reading below their 80 characters in position 77. Establish a loop to keep doing that until you run out of characters. Something like this: How charNumber = 80 … read strInput.Length -1 Loop PrintLine hope that helps to
