Do not you think you would, right? Well, unfortunately, the red ring of death affects more Xbox 360 consoles every year. Fortunately, although there are several repair techniques on the market to address this problem of Xbox 360. I'll only talk about the X-Clamp fix in this article. Here are the basic steps.
- Remove the faceplate off the Xbox 360 cases. Vents top and bottom are removed next. There are several clips that are recessed be released for this to happen.
- Exposing the case backwards and the back 7 holes will notice small wardrobe. There here are that need to be liberated too. Once you separate the back use the same process at the front. The case is open at this point.
- The steel frame is exposed at this point and 6 Torx screws be removed to release the chassis of the other half of the case. Remove the eject button and then lift the steel chassis of the case.
- Remove the DVD drive, fan shroud and fan. Also remove the power button at this time.
- Remove from the heat sink screws and bolts motherboard. Remove the motherboard from the chassis of steel at this point. Use heat sinks to increase the motherboard.
- Remove the X-clamps, heat sinks, tacos heatsink and clean the CPU and GPU.
- The next step requires 8 M5 8MM cheese head screws, 16 # 10 nylon washers 1 / 16 "and some thermal paste. Place thermal paste on CPU and GPU processors, use the screws and washers to replace the heat sinks to the motherboard. Reinstall button ignition.
- Reinstall the plate in the case. Install the DVD drive and connect. Connect the fan and place one of the CPU fan. Tune the console Xbox 360 and the overheat for 20 minutes. Turn off and allow the Xbox 360 console to cool for 15 minutes. Turn and you should get 4 green lights.
- Reassemble the Xbox 360.
- Back to the games with the best gaming system on the market.
This is a simplification of the process, but is in a nutshell. There are some very good guides on the market that offer pictures and videos throughout this process. I know it sounds a bit complicated, but once you see some videos to explain the X-clamp fix you will see how easy it really is. You can do this fix yourself, save money, time and return to play in any time. Having a guide really helps though. Good luck and good game.
