What do all of the components of a point on a matrix printer do?
I am doing a project on matrix printers. I know all the parts of it, but I do not know what all of them do. Here are the pieces that need definitions: power supply board the main transformer of the control board paper feed motor home position sensor Printhead Assembly timing belt positioning the print head motor control panel any help would be appreciated! thanks! Power Supply Board – provides regulated supply different voltages to the various components of the printer. power transformer – transforms the input voltage to a higher or lower voltage necessary for the supply of energy to use. Main Control Board – Control of the various components of the printer to work together to print and process the input data in a format that the printer can use the paper feed motor – usually a stepper motor that controls the speed and when the paper is advanced position sensor Indoor – detects when the printhead / carriage is placed at a particular location (usually on one side) so it knows where the printhead is starting to print in a belt-line distribution – normally used to move the printhead / carriage into a stable and controlled assembly head impression of movement – printing mechanism that contains the forks that move back and forth across the paper and fired at the right time to create characters using positioning motor points of the print head – the engine that moves the printhead back and forth across the paper control panel – User Interface to select and display the printer functions and options of the best of luck.
