Removing radio in 02 Jeep Wrangler. Console is turned off, but there is a stereo BEHIND support. How I can get to it?
Am trying to install a new stereo. I removed the console / bezel and remove the two screws on the front of the stereo and pulled, but not moving. There seems to be a support steel that hold the stereo in place. I pulled out and not come out. I moved the A / C vent on the side and it seems that there are two steel bars, which keeps diagnolly in place. I can not find a way to get to it without tearing apart the whole scenario. How I can get to it?
Pop and remove the panel over covering the defroster vents at the top of the board just below the windshield. You must find the nuts that secure the rear support. Remove, detach bracket, and pull the radio and support the front. The mounting arms has to bend to fit through the opening, but it fit.
