What is better than 64-bit PCI or AGP 4x?
Hello, I have a Dell 530 workstation Xeon, and I'm trying to figure out the options of graphics cards. What is better a 64-bit PCI or AGP 4X …. What else can I use 64-bit PCI slots, because I have 3? Ok so if AGP 4x is better then the card (s) will be best for video editing and / or games? 4x is the maximum my motherboard can do
The sorta 4X AGP and PCI are going AGP 4X AGP 8X PCI-Express 16X But at the moment, there is no noticeable difference as AGP 8X PCI-Express card equivalent, the only problem is that AGP cards equal the chipset PCI-E counterparts to take more power. In your situation, go with the AGP card, PCI can be used for a TV tuner, sound card, modem, very little of any accessory.
