The rights of the competent person come as a direct result of their training, only person is permitted to allow modifications on the scaffold and that components can be used. They are also responsible for the burdens that are placed on the scaffold and if the support structure is strong enough to defend these charges. They must also inspect all cables for defects before each shift begins and at any point where the integrity of a string can be compromised. Access to the gallows should also be observed through the knowledge of their training on specific risks.
